goat cheese and lavender fondue~wood grilled bread, cameo apples

Dinner on Saturday night. Amazing! Great restaurant and atmosphere, but very dark. The photos aren’t the greatest, but despite the darkness everything still looks pretty delicious. Tom Douglas does it again!

olive poppers with herbed sour cream

Kalamata olives, stuffed with cheese (I think it was goat or feta), then fried…with sour cream to dip. Basically my dream appetizer. My mom thinks I can replicate these at home. Stay tuned.

crispy fried pig tail – maple, smoked chili, fresh crunchy vegetables

I wasn’t dying to try pig tail, but for some reason everyone else was. They ended up tasting like a mixture of chicken wings and bacon, sooo clearly they were pretty awesome.

The nightly special – Arctic Char, parsnip puree, root vegetables

Palace Burger. Enough said.

“plin” a piedmontese style ravioli filled with roast pork and chard

theo’s black & white peanut butter fondue – devil’s food cake, honey graham, mashmallow

Relaxing outside for Sunday Brunch at Bravehorse.

Hopefully one day I will be able to share every incredible Tom Douglas restaurant with you. I have been to about half of his establishments already, and they never disappoint. I think anyone who travels to Seattle should try to go to at least one of his restaurants, whether it be Serious Pie, Dahlia Lounge, Lola, Bravehorse…the list goes on! I would say almost everyone who goes to Bravehorse gets a pretzel. There are too many awesome dipping sauces, such as chocolate hazelnut…

Pretzel with hazelnut chocolate dip. There are MANY more dips to choose from!

The Outstanding Bloody Mary comes with a Ranier Chaser! Is this normal? I don’t care if it is or not…it’s awesome.

Chicken Fried Steak Brunch Special.

Hearth Oven Baked Eggs – avocado, leeks, roasted pasilla chiles, goat cheese toast

I think the thing about Tom Douglas is each restaurant has a pretty specific theme, so you are getting a fun, unique and different dining experience at each establishment. I would also recommend Bravehorse for the nightlife, it’s a 21+ establishment with shuffleboard, jello shots, dart boards…so the night crowd can get a little rowdy. The brunch menu is loaded with lots of hangover cures to match. I’m feeling a “Part II” post coming on…
