2015…You were good to us. My main goals for 2015 were:
Not a ton of goals…but they were big and we accomplished them all! I wasn’t sure if the whole baby thing would happen before the year was over, but we ended up being pleasantly surprised! I’m looking forward to 2016 and a slew of brand new goals that will be a lot harder to accomplish with a little one in the mix.
The blog definitely took a backseat when I was pregnant, I was so exhausted and I could barely accomplish my sugar cookie goal. Naturally, I hope to post more in 2016 but I’m not sure if that goal is realistic. We’ll see! Below are my most liked Instagram photos from 2015. All but the cinnamon rolls and pumpkin scones were made before I was pregnant, if that gives you any idea of how tired I was. Now I’m dealing with a different kind of tired, but I have to say…it’s way better than being pregnant!
Cheers to another great year!

inSeptember always feels like the start of the new year to me. Fall always seems like such a fresh and new beginning after a busy and hot summer. Here in the Northwest, September usually has a way of easing you into the season, with the weather still being warm but the colors changing enough to distinguish it isn’t summer anymore. Plus your dog still swims in the river… Continue reading

Anniversary, August 2015, Bend, Black Butte, seattle, weddings
We kicked off August with a wedding at Black Butte Ranch in Oregon – SO GORGEOUS. I can see why families have come here for years and how it can hold a special place in ones heart, it’s just a beautiful, serene place where anyone can relax. Maybe my former non-pregnant self wouldn’t be so enthralled with all of the kids running around, it’s definitely a family-friendly resort…not very “spring break” if you know what I mean.
We had some seriously hot weather while we were there, mother nature could have taken it down 20 degrees or so…but luckily, there were several pools to lay by and do absolutely nothing…Plus stunning views everywhere you turned.

Well, looking back on the first trimester of the year, I’d have to say it’s been a pretty wild ride. Now I can officially make the announcement of one of the biggest life steps ever: We Bought A House! I can’t believe it. This feels way more adult than getting married, or anything else I have ever done. I’m so glad we were finally able to take this huge step. It was one of our goals for 2015, and it feels so good to say CHECK!
Our new neighbors and hood have been great so far. I was so happy to find one of these Little Free Libraries pictured above a few blocks away, I have heard of them but never seen one in real life! Continue reading

March was…crazy. I published this post early on Tuesday morning before going to work. It’s rare that I post something really emotional, and what followed that day was startling and sad. Not only is March 17th the day we will remember Grammy, but it also became the day we will remember Max Cash.
